These terms apply to everyone who uses the Chapter & Pine website or purchases from us. By using the site you agree to them. If you disagree, please don’t use the site or buy anything.
Buying books
When you buy a digital book from us, you’re buying a personal, non-transferable licence to read the file on devices you own. You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly post the file. You may, of course, lend your device to a friend or family member to read.
DRM & personal use
Our files are DRM-free. That trust goes both ways: please don’t share the file beyond your household, and please don’t upload it anywhere public. If you want to share a book, send a friend a link to the shop.
Acceptable use
Don’t try to break the site, scrape it aggressively, or attack any of the services it depends on. We’ll cooperate with good-faith security research — email security@chapterandpine.com before you probe.
Liability
The site and files are provided as-is. We’ll always try to fix faulty files or broken links quickly, but we can’t be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site beyond the value of your order.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of the territory Chapter & Pine is registered in. Specific dispute-resolution language will be added here when the company incorporation is finalised.
